2010/11 Tax Filing Deadline - 31 January 2012
is the final deadline for filing your tax return online
and for the first time penalties will apply if the
return is filed late even if you are due a refund.
The incentive to file early or ontime is therefore very
much greater.
2011 US Tax Deadline -
The 2011 US tax season is
now open - the normal 15 April 2012 deadline will be
automatically extended to 15 June 2012 for anyone
resident outside the US on 15 April 2012.

have historically told
us that "tax doesn't have to be taxing..."
However
the task of completing your taxes cannot always be
considered straightforward.
For example, for the
UK tax year ended 5 April 2010 the tax calculation
summary guide provided by HMRC runs to 39 pages.
US
Citizens have it even worse as their US filing obligation will continue
all the while they are US Citizens, regardless of where they are resident
and working - no matter how long! You may find therefore that
you are juggling UK and US tax filing obligations
simultaneously.
